I'm not sure if it's just me, but if I go really close to my monitor and look at the picture above, all I see is a pink-striped square. Then when I go back a bit, "Soulwax, Nite Versions" appears. If they meant to do that; awesome! If they made some pretty artwork where you just can't see the words properly; boo!Anyway, I suppose I'll have to stop talk about their CD covers for a minute and do some talking about music.
So.... Soulwax released a DVD on September 8th called "Part of the Weekend Never Dies". I have seen parts of it, and as you might expect, the rockumentary of the year captures the mastery of Soulwax under its various guises (Radio Soulwax, Soulwax, 2ManyDJs) and levels of inebriation over the past 3 years whilst on tour. Features with James Murphy, Nancy Whang, Erol Alkan, Tiga, Justice, Busy P, So-Me, Peaches, Kitsuné & Klaxons make an appearance, as does some pretty insane music.
I'm not going to try and sell Soulwax to you, you have probably already made up your mind about them, and if you haven't then nothing I could say would really be sufficient. All I'll say is that there's a reason the two words "Soulwax" and "hype" have been synonymous of each other for years. If you haven't found out why yet, then listen to some of these: (my favorite is probably the remix of some Beethoven!) If you came here expecting to find their rework of MGMT's "Kids", be disappointed! I still can't understand why it's received so much attention. OK, so it's Soulwax, but really... judge a song by its merits...

Good news and bad news; indie dance-floor favorites Dead Disco have split up; but one of the members' (the fittest one) new venture is set to eclipse anything that Dead Disco did.
Marketing 101; if you are a Blackpool based floor-killer in the making, being remixed by DJs of the minute is the perfect way to ingratiate yourself to the bourgeoisie of today's music world. Little Boots (aka Vistoria Hesketh) has done exactly this, having her single "Meddle" remixed by Designer Drugs, an electro outfit that everyone seems to be absolutely buzzing about at the minute. It's the worst titled remix of the year (a Coke Jam Remix?) but I think I can finally see why so many people are talking about Designer Drugs. The only thing that bothers me about her is that she looks absolutely in.cred.iblé in one picture, but will look a complete munter in the next. Sort it out Victoria! "Meddle" might just be the surprise hit of the year if Radio 1 get onto her...

hey whats the chnaces on posting the links again of soul Walter Murphy - Fifth Of beethoven (2 Many DJs mix)???
kindest regards
That Soulwax remix is actually my mix made to sound like the soulwax mix because I couldn't find it anywhere. I never meant for it to come up on all these blogs, and in no way meant to pretend to be soulwax. I just made it for fun. just know that you're not getting a soulwax remix, you're getting a shoddy attempt at recreating one.
the correct title is "(Hidden Cat's "Based on the Soulwax" Edit)
