The Next Generation of Producers Part 2: GRUM

That Fake Blood fella's doing a poor job of staying anonymous. He should take some lessons from Leeds' GRUM; I honestly could not find anything on him around the internet. However, it's comforting to know that whilst Crookers are sending Italy insane, the whole Ed Banger crew are driving the French nuts and Modular are dropping beats in Australia, finally somebody only a couple of hours down the road from me is actually emerging to challenge the Europeans.
Let's not get ahead of ourselves though... at the moment his name is just being bounced around music blogs as he establishes himself and his back catalogue is shallow; consisting of a few fantastic remixes of generally obscure (there is an exception: see below) dance music. Quality is much more important than quantity though, and it's where GRUM excels; because if he keeps putting out music like this it won't be long before he's selling thousands of tickets to sunglass covered, fluoro-legwarmers-wearing (that wasn't even a good idea in the 80s) hipster kids in Paris.
